Notes on Honda power steering system checks

Fluid Replacement

Note: Use Genuine Honda Power Steering Fluid. Using other manufacturer's fluid marked safe for use in Honda is not recommended.

1. Disconnect the return hose at the reservior. Put the end to a container.

2. Start engine, idle, and turn wheel lock-to-lock several times. Shut off engine when fluid stops running out.

3. Refit the return hose, fill fluid to upper mark and start engine. At high idle, turn wheel lock to lock to bleed trapped air.

Caution: Do not fill the reservior beyond the upper mark.
